Policeman

On our way home from school today we passed an accident on the road. Zach got all excited about the police cars. "Police car, mom. Police car, mom. Mom, police car" (For some reason, lately Zach has felt the need to repeat everything at least five times. I guess he doesn't feel like he gets the point across the first time). Zach and I start to discuss the police cars and ambulance and their respective sounds, colors, etc. Our conversation goes something like this:

Mom, "What sound does the ambulance make?
Zach "Insert siren noise here"
Mom, "Ambulances take people to the hospital, Firetrucks go and put out fires, and police get bad guys and help with accidents"
Zach, "Yeah, firetrucks put out fires" (In his animated monster voice)
Mom, "What sound does the police car make?"
Zach, "Insert another siren noise"
Mom, "What do the police do?"

Zach - first he gets a big grin on his face and then he says "He picks his nose. That's gross!"

REWIND TO TWO DAYS AGO ON OUR WAY TO SCHOOL IN THE MORNING:
There was a police car next to us at a stoplight and I looked over and the guy was totally picking his nose. I laughed and pointed him out to Zach and said "That is gross! That policeman is picking his nose."

What a memory Zach has!!
