Sick Day

Today the school called around 1:15pm. Zach had just thrown up and I would need to pick him up. I was the 5th parent to be called. By the time I picked him up 20 minutes later, there were at least 4 more sick children. The school was a mess. Teachers were calling for help from each classroom, kids were getting sick all over, the Director was running around with gloves on a a mop, other kids were hovering over big bowls. YUCK, YUCK, YUCK! I grabbed my boys and they helped us get out of there.

Thank goodness they let us take a towel home, because Zach wasn't finished. He threw up at least three times on the way home. Poor baby!! Finally we made it home and got him cleaned up. He laid down and crashed. When he awoke a few hours later, you would have never know the child had been ill. It was the weirdest thing! So many suddenly and violently sick kids (the center ended up sending 14 children home by the end of the day) and then Nothing.....

By the time I am posting this - Chris, myself, and PaPa have come down with a wicked 24hr thing. Ugh to viruses!

Woah - flashback to almost exactly a year ago when Zoe's school called me to come get her because she was throwing up. Kid had never barfed in her life. She was the first sent home in her class, but nearly the whole infant room had been sent home by that point (Friday). The following Tuesday, I heard even more of the center was out. Of course, I learned this after her grandfather and I both got it. But yeah - 24 hours and it was gone! Yuck.
