Since our regular visit for Friday had to be canceled due to Zach getting sick - PaPa and Vicki came over to play on Sunday! Chris wasn't feeling well, but the rest of us had a great dinner and the boys had a blast playing with them!

Sick Day
Today the school called around 1:15pm. Zach had just thrown up and I would need to pick him up. I was the 5th parent to be called. By the time I picked him up 20 minutes later, there were at least 4 more sick children. The school was a mess. Teachers were calling for help from each classroom, kids were getting sick all over, the Director was running around with gloves on a a mop, other kids were hovering over big bowls. YUCK, YUCK, YUCK! I grabbed my boys and they helped us get out of there.
Thank goodness they let us take a towel home, because Zach wasn't finished. He threw up at least three times on the way home. Poor baby!! Finally we made it home and got him cleaned up. He laid down and crashed. When he awoke a few hours later, you would have never know the child had been ill. It was the weirdest thing! So many suddenly and violently sick kids (the center ended up sending 14 children home by the end of the day) and then Nothing.....
By the time I am posting this - Chris, myself, and PaPa have come down with a wicked 24hr thing. Ugh to viruses!

Kids Say.....
The Darndest Things
Last week:
Zach to a couple teachers "My mom has underwear on."
Mrs. Lisa's reply "I guess that is better than him telling us you have no underwear on."
Today:
Zach to another child's father "I have underwear on today."
Father's response "I guess that is better than no underwear." as he smiled at me.

Family Weekend in Cape Girardeau
This weekend was Family Weekend at SEMO. We loaded up the boys and headed down to visit with Alecia and check out where she lives during the school year.
The first thing Zach figured out was the "Monkey Bars" over Alecia's Bed. He showed us some tricks he learned on the GymBus.
Alecia was so excited to see how much the boys had grown since she left (only a month, but if you have kids, you know how many changes occur in a month's time!)
We went to Wendy's for lunch! MMmmm. MMmmm. Good! I wish we had Wendy's here at home..... Zach got the "Barrel of Monkeys" game with his meal. He had so much fun hanging them up on the "Monkey Bars"!
And of course, Owen had fun pulling them down....

Owen & Zach Approved
Chris has been having some severe pain in his wrist for a couple months now. Finally, after our General Practioner and 2 specialists - we have a diagnosis. Chris has what is called Kienbock's Disease. Right now a cast has been put on to immobilize the area and it will be re-evaluated on Oct. 2. We are hoping things look better after the cast comes off, but most likely we are looking at surgery....
