Surprise! Visit with Lolli

Lolli flew into St. Louis on her way home from a trip. My dad picked her up at the airport and brought her right over to see the boys!

Balloon Art

We went to Pizza Street last night and they had a guy there doing Balloon creations for the kiddos. Zach got a Spiderman. The things that guy was making out of balloons was awesome. I think I might have been a little bit more excited than Zach....

Playground Rocks

A little sample of all the rocks that Zach brings home from school in his shoes. Apparently, he didn't mind them at all because we didn't discover them until getting ready for bedtime.

Build & Grow Clinic by Lowes

I had always seen the posters up in Lowe's advertising the Build & Grow program for kids, but we were never there at the right time. I had a random thought and actually looked it up online so we could plan for it in advance. I signed Zach up for the next available clinic - Building a Locker. I wasn't really sure how he would do. They do not have an age limit/requirement on the Lowe's website.

So, Chris took him up there to Build his locker! He had a fabulous time. Each child gets a project kit, a Lowes apron, a pair of safety goggles, a mini hammer, and instructions. At the end, they receive a badge for the project they complete and a certificate of achievement. Chris said some of the kids had many badges sewn on their aprons. How sweet!

I have Zach signed up for the next class. He will make a truck. And it looks like the next project is a Pirate ship. Ooh. How much fun!

Owen has been home for the past two days with the Yucky Rotavirus. If any of you have experienced this, you will know that yucky is just the beginning of it!! (And you will understand why my child does not have pants on....)

This is him getting into lots of spaces while we were home together.

He has teeth....

Owen was screaming in the highchair (he was hungry NOW for his bottle) we thought we would take the opportunity to get a tooth shot! Within the past two weeks, Owen has cut both bottom teeth!

Brotherly Love

Zach has this recent thing - he likes for him and Owen to play on his bed. It is quite hilarious to see Zach trying to help Owen up on the bed. We always have to remind Zach that one of us needs to be there with them so Owen doesn't fall off the bed. (We will post a video of Zach pulling Owen up as soon as we can)











Zach decided that this box was a boat and that Owen needed to be in it with him. Once Zach was done playing, Owen was left behind in the box. I didn't realize until a little later that he couldn't get out. It wasn't bothering him - he kept trying and then sitting. Finally he started whining for help.

Happy 9 Months Owen!

It comes as no surprise that Owen is already 9mths old! Time really does fly. That is really about all I can say about that.

At 9 months - Owen is into everything! Crawling is his preferred method of mobility, though he still reverts to the army scoot every now and again. He loves to play with his brother and mimic all he possibly can. Owen still doesn't sleep very well. We are usually up once a night to feed him. He eats a lot of different foods off our plates and loves his jar food. He is cruising around the furniture and can stand for a few seconds before he loses his balance. I don't think he will be as afraid to let go and walk as Zach was. Owen is like the Energizer Bunny and doesnt stop until he runs out of batteries! It is not uncommon for him to cry himself to sleep because he just won't give in. Here is one of those moments that he just couldn't keep going.

Airplanes

Not sure who taught him how to build airplanes, but he is pretty good at it!
